About The Competition
For this year's case competition, teams of 4-5 students were faced with designing a new city that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Participants must strategically place residential areas, outline road networks, and allocate space for parks, schools, and hospitals while ensuring the city's energy system is sustainable, affordable and environmentally friendly. This competition challenges students to balance creativity and practicality to create a city blueprint that ensures a prosperous and sustainable future for its residents.
Our Vision
Our vision is to have students address a real-world problem and develop ideas to solve or improve the problem. Additionally, this year's case competition encouraged students to think about sustainability and how it can be applied to the engineering field.
Our Goal
Our goal for this year's case competition is to introduce students to the path of engineering by challenging them in developing a solution to a complex problem. Throughout the competition, students will develop their teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
