Youth Venture strives to change how education is presented within our community in the Greater Vancouver area and expose students to real-world situations. We bring different perspectives to students to shape their views on engineering and the university experience. We give students the pathways to put their ideas into actions. In Youth Venture, members are able to gain knowledge about sustainability and education practices while developing connections in the community.

Mentorship Program
The Engineers Without Borders Youth Venture is putting together a new mentorship program meant for high school students interested in going to university for engineering. If you are interested in providing some guidance for high schoolers and looking for a great leadership opportunity within the engineering community, then we would greatly appreciate you sending the attached form to any members of your team interested in participating. This program is meant to be low-commitment and will be for students across the province (most likely all online). This is open to all disciplines and all years. There are no requirements for this role, as long as you express interest.

COVID-19 Mask Case Competition
Date: January 2021
Goal: In order to make a difference in the current social climate, we decided to pursue a virtual case competition on the topic of face masks. Students gained insight into the challenges faced by individuals who are unable to wear traditional face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, our goal was to raise awareness about the importance of wearing masks and to empower youth in BC to use their voice and ideas to make a difference in the fight against a growing pandemic.
